Overview

Zdō Nrowe Gri was founded durring the late 15th century in spring of the year 1383, by Dyêpí. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Dyêpí.

Zdō Nrowe Gri was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zdō Nrowe Gri is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Zdō Nrowe Gri is buildings are built arround a single broad flagstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city is defended by arcane means. It's hard to spot at first, but there's a tell tell shimmer in the air arround Zdō Nrowe Gri, and you can spot the ocasional warding glyph carved into a rock or tree all arround town. These mystical defences are ancient, unknowable, and unassailable by current means... Assuming everything is in working order. Otherwise, the wards are little more than a deathtrap. The Relic of the World That Was have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Zdō Nrowe Gri gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Beneath this surface, the people of Zdō Nrowe Gri can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Zdō Nrowe Gri places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

POI

History

A vast influx of newcomers over the last 4 years has greatly spiked Zdō Nrowe Gri's population. They may have been drawn by economic opportunities, or fled some pursuing peril, or been forcibly moved there by a ruler who wanted to dilute the existing native cohesion. The natives may not have the resources or opportunities to integrate these newcomers, and it may be that the new population has no desire to stay longer than is necessary.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami granted the town a great harvest. One of Zdō Nrowe Gri's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
